Erin Danielson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing LGBTQ+ affirming, trauma-informed therapy for adults in Portland, Beaverton, and throughout Oregon. With more than 12 years of clinical experience, she specializes in helping people navigate trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, identity and relationship concerns, life transitions, and the lasting impact of difficult experiences. She has particular experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals and veterans.

As an Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran, Erin brings a unique perspective to her work. Her own experience returning from deployment and learning to reach out for support helped inspire her path toward becoming a therapist. She later spent 13 years with the Veterans Health Administration providing care to veterans with diverse backgrounds and complex mental health needs. Erin earned her Master of Social Work from Portland State University and has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Oregon since 2017.

Erin’s approach is warm, relational, and collaborative. You may want to understand how experiences from your past are affecting you today, work through something happening in the present, or simply know that you want things to feel different. Erin will meet you where you are and help you find an approach that fits your needs and goals.

Erin is trained in EMDR therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and other therapeutic modalities. Above all, she strives to create a welcoming, affirming space where you can feel seen, heard, and comfortable being yourself.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. Erin welcomes the opportunity to meet you where you are and work alongside you in finding a path forward that feels right for you.
