Shannon Dooley, PA-C, is a board-certified psychiatric physician assistant who provides compassionate, evidence-based mental health care for adolescents and adults. As a Bay Area native, Shannon is excited to return home and serve the community that helped shape her.

Shannon earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Washington in Seattle and completed her physician assistant training at South College in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Her clinical approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and respect. She believes that effective psychiatric care begins with listening carefully to each patient’s unique experiences, concerns, and goals.

Shannon works closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans and build long-lasting therapeutic relationships that support meaningful and sustainable progress. She is committed to creating a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their mental health journey.

Shannon provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions, including ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and other psychiatric concerns.

As part of Well Coast Medical’s collaborative care model, Shannon sees patients alongside supervising psychiatrist Dr. Hendrick Soh, a board-certified adult and child psychiatrist. Together, they provide comprehensive psychiatric care that combines the accessibility of a dedicated psychiatric physician assistant with the expertise and oversight of an experienced psychiatrist.

Outside of work, Shannon enjoys spending time with her Bernese Mountain Dog, Clementine, and exploring everything the Bay Area has to offer.
